What you might not know is that you lifestyle and diet contribute more to the formation of acne than any other preventable factor. The normal American teenage diet seems to be designed with the express intent of causing acne. Foods containing trans-fatty acids, such as milk and milk products, margarine, shortening and other synthetically hydrogenated vegetable oils, as well as fried foods are known to contribute to the formation of acne.
I have had acne for around five years now. Well my acne has totally gone now. But the main bit of advice I can tell you is to stay positive and that every one beats it in a majority of cases. Also a lot of people who have acne tend to think of it as worse than it actually is. Many people develop all fears related to it and do not even go outside there home because there scared people will be looking at them. When the truth is others who see people with acne, think it is just normal and in most cases just a teenage thing. So the best bit of acne advice I can give is to stay positive.
Treatment for mild scalp pimples can be as easy as buying an over the counter medication such as salicylic acid. This solution works to remove dirt and oil which block the pores in the scalp area which causes the acne. Over the counter products are not long term solutions so another topical medication may be needed. The only problem with this method is that such products containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide can dehydrate the scalp and even bleach the hairline. Therefore, careful use of these products is recommended. Stay clear of products containing sulfur. Abrasions of the skin can take place with the use of sulfur making the scalp pimples even worse.
